Mammy (usemammy.com) is operated by NoviNine Entertainment Limited, a company registered in Ireland (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the limited personal data described below. Contact us at support@novinine.com.
Your images stay on your device
Background removal runs entirely in your browser. The images you add, the results, and your edits are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and we cannot see them. They are held in your browser's memory and are gone when you close the page or press “Start over”. File names are never sent anywhere.
What we do collect
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any website, requests to our servers (for example to load the page or the AI model files) are logged with your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We use these logs to run and secure the service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies)
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you across sites; it records aggregate data such as the page visited, referrer, country and device type. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Google Analytics (only if you accept)
If, and only if, you click “Accept” in our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects usage data: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, and events such as “image processed” or “download clicked”. These events never contain your images or file names. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; we then delete the Google Analytics cookies.
Stock background photos
If you open the editor, the stock background photos are loaded from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com). Your browser then sends your IP address to Unsplash, as with any image on the web. Your own images are not sent.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request.
Storage on your device
- Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again.
- The AI model and app files are saved in your browser's cache so Mammy loads faster and works offline. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
International transfers
Vercel, Google and Unsplash may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
Hosting logs are kept for a short period according to Vercel's standard retention. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. We keep emails as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@novinine.com. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
Mammy is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
